Juuling has become a common epidemic across the country, similar to the trend of cigarettes back in the roaring twenties. Juuling has taken a similar route of appealing to a younger generation to convince them to start juuling, which in a similar way to cigarettes causes great health problems such as addiction to nicotine, increased heart rate and blood pressure, lung disease, and with the potential of type II diabetes and more. Unfortunately, this piece of technology, also considered to be called e-cigarettes was not popular at first, but eventually took huge recognition when it was considered to be a great method to quit smoking in the first place. Unfortunately, overtime it in fact was simply slapping another label over cigarettes to appeal to the younger generation. It is uncertain what will happen as the future progresses and we’re uncertain what the long term effects of juuling may cause. Trends have shown that as cigarette popularity died out in the late 2010’s, juuling began to skyrocket and take shape and form as the new face of smoking. If we don’t reduce the targeting of young adults with children included, there will be long term health risks to families and individuals in the long run. This topic serves as an interesting subject for me, because of the simple fact that it is exactly like the rise of cigarettes. In this electronic age, we didn’t really care. Luckily, the source I have found for this subject is incredibly reliable because not only has it been referred by several news outlets, wikipedia pages, professors, and more. In addition, plenty of evidence is provided with reasoning and reliable credibility in the numerous authors who help constructed a reliable and reasonable claim that e-cigarettes are claiming the market against regular cigarettes. In addition, plenty of credible evidence is shown in regards to its rise over time in the market. One of the contributing author has made other credible sources and follows his trend of “Tobacco Control” which to the media has been concerned a reliable source of information and help for individuals under the influence or addiction to tobacco. More importantly, the sources cited by the author(s) is in great numbers, however don’t let that fool you, those numbers in addition after some skim research also produce quality primary source evidence that support the claim of juuling targeting younger adults and children. While this is only my first source, the sources that follow show great promise in proving the deadly long term health risks of juuling.Luckily, while there has been a lot of awareness being brought to the public about the health risks, unfortunately, the users have typically become addicted or uncaring of the consequences. This topic has been sort of overlooked by the media as time goes on and has just been a casual thing happening in society, hopefully there will be some key points addressed to help potentially prevent the further development of e-cigarettes or something worse. As I plan out this essay I will need to brackett and properly organize my claim, and make sure all my evidence and opinions are properly linked back.
This is a popular topic! I’m curious where your choice essay is published. What is the name of the source? I look forward to reading your paper. This truly seems to be an increasing issue.
