Some of the things that I pulled from the two speeches is that in the second one I felt more connected with my card trick and felt a lot smoother as well. I felt a tad more coordinated on my speech and tried to keep my point more linear. This was because in my last speech which was in class I did feel a little scattered. But after re-watching my dry dry speech run and remember the notes given to me from class, I tightened a better grip on what I’m going to say. Obviously I do plan on adding a little bit more detail and personal lively hood into my speech to help build my credibility for the speech. I felt I was more confident with what I had to say, in addition to the fact that I was able to do more proper hand gestures and eye contact with the camera, to help me practice perfecting eye contact with my peers. I do believe I fell a little slow towards the end but I believe that when I’m infront of an actual audience that I will be able to work up more courage and ability to speak properly. As I’ve said with previous speeches that I always feel empty talking infront of an electronic device as there’s quite literally nothing to speak to. However, it’s a skill that I will have to learn if I am able to perfect my public speaking because I may not always have the luxury of speaking to someone face to face.
