Obviously from my first speech to second speech I did feel disconnected in doing it as I felt that there was no audience so my sincerity felt at least from re-watching dropped. However, I did take advice of collecting my thoughts and dropping in more emotional pieces, it is hard for me to talk about more emotional stories but I feel that when I do deliver my full speech that I will be more open to such topics as that I should be confident in what’s happened to me and what my story is. I was also better on my timing but I did pause on some instances to collect my thoughts. However, I should be able to by speech day to filter out a really nice speech that will pull together all the constructive criticisms I heard on Monday, and learn what I did wrong in my redone speech and hopefully squeeze out a very powerful speech that I feel confident in speaking. Other than that I thought I did reasonable for talking to just a camera in an empty room. My hand gestures were a bit awkward, I tried to be more noticing of my hand gestures but once again by habit I did slip a little bit, I will be training myself to hold back that bizarre twitch hand gesture so that it doesn’t wreck my speech or pull away attention.
