In Galen’s writing of “I am not a story” Garen argues that our lives are not simply stories. However, I’d completely disagree. Every human being from birth to death is a story. A story has varying problems, resolutions, build up, characters. Sure, some stories may be varying differently than the other in intensity or luck. However, they are stories. Some might not like to see their lives as stories but they are. Stories like Star Wars or Three Little Pigs effect them, and if a narrative does too then let it be a story. Obviously both sides have their reasons however I respectfully decline Galen’s reasoning behind his opinion.
